JAMES HALL, Senior Consultant and Business manager at PARK :

Design for Humanity – Horizons of Change

James Hall from PARK has an ambition with Design for Humanity to empower design leaders to put humanity at the centre of all efforts. Where the well-being of our world is prioritised above the well-being of a few individuals. James feels a responsibility to help unpick it & collectively influence or nudge change. He will share the Design for Humanity journey so far that PARK has initiated from a design management & leadership vantage point. It is still very much at a concept level & he will provide some context, definition & preliminary tool to navigate the subject. While highlighting the need for collective ownership of problems across people, organisations & industries. James’ very open & pragmatic approach will look to engage your views & reactions via collective voting & one mini breakout sessions during the 1½ hrs online.

About James

If James is not training on his bicycle, he is usually making something, breaking it, testing it to its limits & learning from it fast. This naturally inquisitive behaviour attracted James to the world of industrial design and kickstarted his career at LEGO in 1999. During the LEGO job interview where he was paired with Paal Smith Meyer the Life on Mars tube system was born. Roll on 22yrs, having worked at LEGO, then Hasbro at executive levels, James stepped out of the toy industry to join PARK design management & leadership consultancy to focus his career working across industries, professions & countries. He thrives on sharing best practices for people to accelerate their design purposes.
